You've probably all heard of it, so what are your thoughts?
I thought it looked pretty awesome, untill i saw this picture. Also it's just a big ass iPhone. Must be fun to use though.

I've seen it costs like 399USD, that's quite cheap. A weird price, cos even the IPhone costs around that much Confused

Hi Mr. Nerdlike.

I see you are interested in this iPad. Yes, I also have heard about this iPad.
And that it was presented by Steve Jobs yesterday.

I must say that it is quite big and good to use. Think of the iPhone right now. You use it to browse internet sites with it. They look small and you have to scroll up to see a block of text, but this will change with iPad. With this iPad you can have a bigger screen to browse. Or this is also great to read iBooks with them. Recently people used iPhone to read books. It is not practical, because the text are too small. So with this big screen iPad you can read it easily.

After thinking about the iPad ( 2 secs ) this iPad is not worth it. I don't see why you bring a huge iPad outside. You maybe don't want to pay 500-600 dollar atleast for a new iPad for inside use only. You could use laptop or computer for this activity. If you want to use it on your lap, why not use a netbook, which has smaller screen.

Other problem is that when you go outside, you have to carry it somewhere in a bag. As you can't put it in your pockets since it's too big for that. The features of this iPad is as I said, reading books with them or surf on the internet with it. Maybe there are other features from iTunes or iStore. But if you compare it with the iPhone 3G, it can also play iMusic, iFilm and browse iWeb. Only downside to it is that the screen is really small.

The prices are ridicilious. For something that has Wi-Fi costs atleast $499 dollars for 16GB and 64GB costs $699.
Then the Wi-Fi and 3G costs $629 for 16GB, which can be used outside with online feature.

With the iPhone it is bearable, because you could have a plan, wich reduces the prices alot. But I don't think there is some kind of mobile plan for those iPads. Or maybe there are some with the 3G plans.

So the only thing I can see that is different is that iPad has bigger screen. I wouldn't pay that amount for some innovative device.

i saw keynote :/ steve jobs bashing netbook >:/ nothing bad with mine ASUS EEE 701, has all feats, USB/bluetooth/wifi
also tether it to my blackberry/android phone AKA edge or 3G, Very Happy

surf web with flash/etc. which still apple refuseing to allow native adobe into it web broswer Neutral

iPad nothing more than bigger screen, looks like they gutted iTouch or iPhone hardware slapped it into bigger casing.

I think I'll get a macbook when i move out though, but it would mostly be for work and school. And then a desktop for gaming.

except it was £260-270 when I bought it a couple of months ago, battery life rules on it though can watch videos on it for like 7-8h straight, makes it a great travelling companion Very Happy
